The Pittard Clinic
At the Pittard Clinic, a patient has the right to receive respect and care that
follows current standards of practice.  Patients at Pittard Clinic will
encounter a therapeutic environment for the treatment of opiate addiction.  
The risks associated with this addiction will be reduced by providing
education, individual counseling, support groups, and medication therapy to
the patient.  Any patient at the Pittard Clinic has the right to expect:

•        Humane treatment that affords reasonable protection from harm, exploitation, and      
coercion
•        The right to be free from physical and verbal abuse
•        The right to be informed about the individual treatment plans
•        The right to participate in the individual treatment plan
•        The right to be promptly informed of any changes in the treatment plan
•        The right to accept or refuse treatment
•        The right to confidentiality of all records
•        The right to be informed of the Pittard Clinic’s complaint policy and the right to
access that policy at any time on any matter with out fear of discrimination or retaliation
and to have any complaints investigated by the Pittard Clinic in a timely manner
•        The right to receive a written notice of the address and telephone number of the
state licensing authority and the right to file a complaint with them at any time
•        The right to obtain a copy of the most recent completed report of the inspections
from the program upon written request
•        The right to an informal review and appeal of any involuntary discharge
